Overview
WFXZ-CD is a Class A TV station licensed by the FCC to Boston, Massachusetts, in the Boston, MA (Manchester, NH) market.
On screen it is channel 24, though WFXZ-CD actually transmits on RF channel 5. Digital TVs map the two automatically after a channel scan. WFXZ-CD operates on a shared channel with another licensee, an arrangement the FCC allows. Class A status gives it the same interference protection as full-power stations.
WGBH Educational Foundation holds the station's FCC license. It first signed on in 2000. The current call sign has been in place since March 2010.
Schedules and local news are on its website, www.wfxz24.com.
