Overview
KWVT-LD is a low-power TV station licensed by the FCC to Salem, Oregon, in the Portland, OR market.
On screen it is channel 17, though KWVT-LD actually transmits on RF channel 11. Digital TVs map the two automatically after a channel scan. Its signal covers a smaller area than a full-power station's, so an antenna closer to the transmitter helps.
The station is part of Northwest Television, LLC. The station dates back to 2005. It has used the KWVT-LD call letters since February 2011.
Its website is www.kwvtsalem.com.
