Overview
KHPM-CD is a Class A station on channel 40, licensed to San Marcos, Texas and part of the Austin, TX TV market.
Viewers find it on channel 40. That is the virtual channel your TV displays; the signal itself goes out on RF channel 20, which is why a rescan sometimes matters. As a Class A station it keeps the interference protection that full-power stations have, which ordinary low-power stations do not.
According to FCC records, the licensee is Nexstar Media Inc. The current call sign has been in place since January 2002.
