On screen it is channel 40, though KHPL-CD actually transmits on RF channel 15. Digital TVs map the two automatically after a channel scan. As a Class A station it keeps the interference protection that full-power stations have, which ordinary low-power stations do not.
The FCC license is held by Nexstar Media Inc. It has used the KHPL-CD call letters since January 2002.
