Barry Brandt is the chief meteorologist at KATV, the ABC station in Little Rock-Pine Bluff. He has been at KATV since 1997.
He started out as a chief meteorologist at KQTV in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Brandt’s honors include the Associated Press Best Weathercast Award in 2004 and 2008. He holds the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation. Brandt earned a bachelor’s degree in atmospheric science from the University of Kansas. He is a native of Wathena, Kansas.
