Overview
WJKP-LD is a low-power station on channel 39, licensed to Corning, New York and part of the Elmira (Corning), NY TV market.
Viewers find it on channel 39. That is the virtual channel your TV displays; the signal itself goes out on RF channel 14, which is why a rescan sometimes matters. Its signal covers a smaller area than a full-power station's, so an antenna closer to the transmitter helps.
CTNY License LLC holds the station's FCC license. The station is part of Coastal Television Broadcasting Company. It first signed on in 2003. It has used the WJKP-LD call letters since May 2010.
