Overview
KUAN-LD is a low-power station on channel 48, licensed to Poway, Etc., California.
On screen it is channel 48, though KUAN-LD actually transmits on RF channel 17. Digital TVs map the two automatically after a channel scan. It shares its broadcast channel with another station under an FCC channel-sharing arrangement. Its signal covers a smaller area than a full-power station's, so an antenna closer to the transmitter helps.
The FCC license is held by NBC Telemundo License LLC. The station is part of Telemundo Station Group. The station dates back to 1980. The current call sign has been in place since March 2007.
Its website is telemundo20.com.
